UPDATE: Hunter Who Vowed to Kill Bigfoot Missing

WEST PRAIRIE, Ark–Joe Keaton, Jr., the famous Arkansas hunter who promised to kill Bigfoot, has not been seen since he entered the woods east of town on June 7th.

Locals are worried the woodsman’s adventure has ended in tragedy, but others believe he is simply taking his time tracking a beast known for its elusive behavior.

Buster Schmidt, who is one of Keaton’s closest friends, has remained at the forest’s edge every afternoon since his departure:

“I come out here after work and throw on some Garth Brooks and have a beer, just wait’n for Joe. But it’s been weeks. It wouldn’t of took Joe this long to get it done. I’m afraid something went wrong.”

Keaton’s wife, Carla, also voiced her concerns. “I keep thinking everyday he’s going to come walking out of those woods with that monster’s body slung over his shoulder. And every day he don’t come.”

One source reported that wild screams and gunshots were heard several miles into the forest a few nights ago, but these reports have not been confirmed. Nevertheless, Keaton’s family does not plan to remain idle for much longer.

Keaton’s brother, Darrell, said he is losing patience. “If he don’t show up in the next few days we’re going to go looking for him. I’m not going to just sit here while everyone gossips.”

The West Prairie Police Department has asked that anyone with knowledge of Keaton’s whereabouts contact them immediately.
